The Civil Aviation University of China (English name is Civil Aviation University of China, English abbreviation is CAUC) is an institution of higher learning directly under the Civil Aviation Administration of China that trains advanced civil aviation engineering and management talents. The government and the Ministry of Education jointly build universities and are also Tianjin’s “Double First-Class” construction plan and high-level characteristic university construction universities.

The predecessor of the Civil Aviation University of China was the Second Civil Aviation School of the Civil Aviation Administration of the Military Commission established on September 25, 1951. In 1956, it was renamed the 14th Aviation School of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In 1958, it was renamed as China Civil Aviation Advanced Aviation School. In 1963, it was reorganized as China Civil Aviation Machinery College. In 1977, it was renamed as China Civil Aviation College. In 1981, it was renamed China. Civil Aviation College, on May 30, 2006, was renamed Civil Aviation University of China.

The school covers a total area of 1.694 million square meters, with a total construction area of 874,000 square meters. It currently has Tianjin Dongli campus, Chaoyang Flying College, Inner Mongolia Flying College, and Xinjiang Tianxiang Aviation College 3 flight training colleges.
