The Service College of the Naval Engineering University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army was inaugurated and established on July 17, 2012 in Tanggu, Binhai New Area. The academy was established on the basis of the Tianjin campus of the former Naval University of Engineering.
The predecessor of the Naval University of Engineering Service School was the Naval Logistics Technical School. In April 1953, it was moved from Qingdao, Shandong to Tanggu to run the school. In the past 60 years, the scale of the school has continued to grow. In June 2012, with the approval of the Central Military Commission, the academy was formally upgraded to a full-fledged division, and the Naval University of Engineering Service School was established.
The college has established a distinctive professional system of disciplines such as naval logistics command, military port construction engineering, military port management, airport barracks, naval supplies, sail line coatings, naval field fuel supply, and maritime replenishment, covering military science, engineering, economics and management. Four major disciplines, seven major logistics professional fields, and 13 professional directions. Has 1 doctoral degree and 2 master degree.
