Tianjin Vocational College of Commerce is a full-time general higher vocational college run by the state, with a history of more than 60 years, covering an area of 700 acres and a total construction area of 150,000 square meters.
The college is the first batch of exemplary higher vocational colleges in Tianjin, a training base for skilled talents in Binhai New Area, a training base for business talents in Tianjin, and a service outsourcing training base; it has won the Huang Yanpei Outstanding Teacher Award, Outstanding Principal Award and Outstanding School Award for many times; In September 2017, the project was approved to build a world-leading vocational college.
So far, the college has cultivated nearly 140,000 outstanding graduates for the country, and trains nearly 10,000 professional talents for the society every year. At present, the college has 417 faculty members and nearly 8,000 students. For many years, the employment rate of graduates has reached more than 95%, and the professional counterpart rate has remained above 90%.
The college has 6 professional teaching colleges, 1 continuing education college and 2 teaching departments, with a total of 37 majors. Among them, international trade practice and customs declaration and international freight two top domestic backbone majors, as well as several exemplary majors such as accounting, business English, marketing, business brokerage and agency, and taxation, have received special support from the national and municipal finances. The College of Continuing Education satisfies the multiple needs of Canton University students to upgrade their academic qualifications and obtain vocational qualification certificates. Teachers and students have won first and second prizes in national competitions for many consecutive years, with outstanding results. The only national vocational college skills competition museum has settled in our school, and two national deputy prime ministers have visited and instructed.
