1. School profile


   Founded in 1999, Tianjin Tianshi College (Tianshi College) is an innovative university. It is a municipal full-time comprehensive general higher education school, invested and established by Tiens Group Co., Ltd. The school is committed to exploring educational models with the characteristics of the new era and cultivating applied innovative talents. Mr. Li Jinyuan, Chairman of Tiens Group, served as the chairman of the school.


  The school is located in Wuqing District, Tianjin City, in the "Beijing-Tianjin Corridor", on the south bank of the Longfeng River. It covers an area of 3.2 square kilometers and has an overall architectural plan of 2.1 million square meters. It can accommodate more than 30,000 students to study and live in the school. The school focuses on engineering and management disciplines, as well as literature, economics, medicine and art. The total value of teaching and research equipment is more than 47 million yuan, and it has a collection of 610,000 books. It has realized the computer network of document information management and services. In December 2015, the school passed the "Undergraduate Teaching Qualification Evaluation" by the Ministry of Education.


   2. School running philosophy

   3. Discipline construction


   The school is led by national and Tianjin "Thousand Talents Program" experts or other high-level talents to establish relevant departments, with undergraduate education as the core, vigorously develop education for international students, and strive to broaden the channels for Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.


  The school has 31 undergraduate majors including electronic information engineering, bioengineering, finance, marketing, international Chinese language education, nursing, product design, covering six majors of engineering, management, literature, economics, medicine, and art. There are 5 higher vocational majors including business management, marketing, communication technology, computer application technology, and digital media art design. There are 7 secondary colleges including the School of Information and Automation, the School of Biology and Food Engineering, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Business Administration, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Medicine, and the School of Art and Design; there are the Department of Ideology and Politics, the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Sports, etc. 3 teaching departments. The school currently has more than 6,200 full-time students.

   There are 330 full-time teachers, including 114 teachers with senior professional titles, 266 teachers with doctoral and master's degrees, and 65 "dual-qualified" teachers with industry qualifications and engineering backgrounds.
