The Tianjin College of University of Science and Technology Beijing (hereinafter referred to as the school) is a full-time independent college at the undergraduate level, approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2005 and co-organized by the University of Science and Technology Beijing and Guangdong Zhujiang Investment Co., Ltd. It is one of the first batches of the country to accept the standard work of the Ministry of Education. One of the three independent colleges accepted. The school was rated as excellent in the 2017 school-running annual inspection review of Tianjin private colleges and universities, and ranked first in overall scores. The school is located in Jingjin New City, Baodi District, Tianjin, covering an area of 1,297 acres and a building area of 295,000 square meters. The school currently has 10 secondary faculties, 7 university disciplines, and 22 admissions majors and directions.

　　 The school implements the strategy of strengthening the school with talents, and the level of teachers is continuously improved. The school hired Cai Meifeng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, as the honorary chairman of the academic committee. Implementation of the "Distinguished Professors" program, hiring national "Thousand Talents Program" distinguished professors, foreign academicians of the Russian Academy of Engineering, Royal Society of Chemistry, academicians of the American Academy of Medicine and Biological Sciences Zhang Xueji, Changjiang Scholars, winners of the National Outstanding Youth Fund Qu Xuanhui, Long Keping, former dean of the Dongling School of Economics and Management of Beijing University of Science and Technology, Zhang Qun, a doctoral supervisor, serves as the school's related discipline leader, undertaking teaching tasks and guiding young teachers' teaching and research work. Implement the "Famous Teacher Project" and hire well-known experts and scholars from the "Double First Class", "985" and "211" engineering universities in Beijing and Tianjin to teach in the college. It has successively introduced 20 high-level talents with senior titles, department heads or key teaching positions. The school currently has 2 recipients of special government allowances from the State Council and 2 famous teaching teachers in Beijing. The school has established a team of teachers with good quality, reasonable structure, professional and concurrent integration, full of vitality, and meeting the needs of career development.

　　 Relying on the high-quality educational resources of University of Science and Technology Beijing, the school builds and implements a “four-in-one” talent training system centered on “applied” theoretical teaching, vocational ability training practical teaching, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and general education. School education and teaching have achieved remarkable results. The student's graduation thesis has been awarded the title of "Excellent Graduation Thesis" in the review of excellent graduation design (thesis) of Tianjin colleges and universities for four consecutive years. Our school students won 1 national first prize, 3 second prizes, and 6 third prizes in the 9th National College Student Mathematics Competition. Our school’s student intelligent team has won national first prizes in the National College Student Intelligent Car Competition for many times, and the robot team has made outstanding achievements in the domestic selection activities of the Asia-Pacific College Student Robot Competition. The school has further promoted the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and won 18 various awards in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions such as the 2018 National University Cloud Computing Application Innovation Competition, China "Internet +" University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and 2017 China-US Youth Maker Competition.
