The Binhai College of Nankai University was established in 2004 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is a full-time general undergraduate university founded by Nankai University and the state-owned Tianjin Gangrong Urban Environmental Development Co., Ltd. of the Tianjin Binhai New Area Government in accordance with the new model and mechanism. It is located in Tianjin Dagang Higher Education Ecological Park, Binhai New District, City.
The college is a joint-stock cooperative school-running entity. It has an independent campus and basic school-running facilities, implements independent teaching organization and management, has independent legal personality, and implements the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors.
The college has a campus of nearly 1,000 acres and a scale of 10,000 people, with a total construction area of more than 230,000 square meters. The college enrolls students from all over the country.
