Chifeng Vocational and Technical College of Industry

Chifeng Vocational and Technical College of Industry, formerly the Zhaowu Damen Mechanized Farming and Animal Husbandry School established in 1958. In 1988, it was rebuilt as "Inner Mongolia Textile Industry School". From 2004 to 2005, Chifeng City Grain Workers Secondary Professional School, Chifeng School of Finance and Economics, Chifeng National Technical School, and Chifeng Gold Technical School were merged into the school. In 2010, it was promoted with the approval of the autonomous region government. It is Chifeng Industrial Vocational and Technical College. In June 2014, the Inner Mongolia National Industrial Technician College was established.


  The college is located in the new urban area of Chifeng City, covering an area of 503 acres, with a building area of about 130,000 square meters, with nearly 8,000 students and 510 faculty members. The college focuses on full-time higher vocational and technical education, supplemented by secondary vocational education and technical education. At the same time, it carries out continuing education, vocational training and skill appraisal.


  The college is a national high-skilled talent training base and the lead unit of the Chifeng Industrial Vocational Education Group; in 2015, the college established an academician workstation with Professor Wen Bangchun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as an expert. It is a national vocational skill appraisal institute, a special type of work training appraisal agency in Chifeng City, a cooperative school for the Chifeng Science and Technology Bureau to promote the integration of production, education, research and use in Chifeng District, a talent training base for 12 industrial parks in Chifeng City, counties and districts, and an export of rural labor in Chifeng City.   At present, the college has eight teaching departments, including the Department of Machinery and Automation, and a total of 25 higher vocational majors and more than 40 secondary vocational majors. Through years of hard work, a professional system with machinery, electric power, metallurgy, mining, energy, chemical industry, construction, and finance as the main body has been formed. It has 13 large-scale internship training workshops, 59 laboratories, and more than 40 off-campus practice bases. The training area is about 30,000 square meters. Among them, the four five-axis linkage CNC machining centers purchased at a cost of more than 6 million yuan are the most advanced CNC training equipment among the universities in the autonomous region. The college has a standard lawn sports field and a comprehensive gymnasium, with a collection of nearly 400,000 books and e-books, and nearly a thousand sets of vocational education video resources.
