Inner Mongolia Energy Vocational College

Inner Mongolia Energy Vocational College is a full-time general higher vocational college featuring energy, construction, transportation services and other majors. It was founded in 1997. Its predecessor was Inner Mongolia Electric Power Training Institute. It was approved by the Inner Mongolia People’s Government in 2010. Recorded by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, it has been independently upgraded to a national unified enrollment college. It is the only energy-related higher vocational school in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. There are more than 3,000 students in the school from more than ten provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country.

  The college is located in the new urban area of Hohhot, the capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is located in the Daqingshan landscape belt of Hohhot and the central area of the main venue of Daqing in the 70th year of the autonomous region. The city-level landscape is dotted, surrounded by forests, and the surrounding environment is elegant. The college covers an area of 360 acres and a building area of 60,000 square meters. The college consists of the Department of Electric Power Engineering, the Department of New Energy Application, the Department of Petrochemical Resources Development, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Construction Engineering, the Department of Business and Enterprise Culture, the Department of Technical Secondary Schools (Inner Mongolia Vocational and Technical School of Architecture) and the Department of Continuing Education. There are more than 20 specialty groups and professional directions with unique advantages, including coal, photovoltaic wind power, gas chemical industry, power management, and accounting, with strong teachers.

   The college currently has 82 faculty members, 49 full-time teachers, 11 high-level titles, and all part-time teachers are industry experts from undergraduate colleges and scientific research institutes in the autonomous region.

The college adheres to serving the regional economy, closely focusing on the advantages of major energy provinces (regions), carefully creating special majors such as wind power, solar photovoltaic, gas engineering, oil and coal chemical engineering, implementing school-enterprise cooperation, combining engineering and learning talent training models, and innovating and reforming teaching models.
