Tongliao Vocational College is a public full-time comprehensive general higher education institution. The college mainly organizes higher vocational education, and has the functions of secondary vocational education and TV university distance education. At the same time, it undertakes social-oriented vocational technical training and junior high school teacher continuing education training. The college was established in 2004 by the merger of the original Zhemeng Normal School, Zhemeng Health School, Zhemeng Education College, and Inner Mongolia TV University Tongliao Branch. The school’s history can be traced back to the 1950s.


The college covers an area of 803 acres, a building area of 146,000 square meters, and a collection of 560,000 books; it has built nearly 200 various experimental training sites and training bases on and off campus; fixed assets of more than 400 million yuan, and a total of teaching and research equipment It is worth nearly 100 million yuan.
