Hulunbuir College

Hulunbuir College is the only undergraduate college in Hulunbuir. The predecessor was the four technical colleges established in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1992, the four colleges merged, and then four secondary professional schools were merged. In 2003, the Ministry of Education approved Hulunbuir College to be promoted to an undergraduate college.


   The school occupies an area of 1,700 acres, the school building area is more than 300,000 square meters, the fixed assets are more than 1 billion yuan, the collection of books is 1.03 million, and the total value of teaching equipment is 78 million yuan.


   There are 12,714 full-time undergraduate and junior college students, including 11,473 undergraduates, 1241 junior college students, 5,180 adult undergraduate and junior college students, more than 7,000 short-term continuing education, safety training, etc., equivalent to more than 13,000 full-time students. The school has a total of 1,133 faculty members, including 662 full-time teachers, 152 full-time teachers with senior professional titles, and 286 with deputy senior titles.


The school has 51 undergraduate majors. The majors cover ten disciplines in liberal arts, sciences, engineering, management, law, economics, history, education, agriculture, and art. There is 1 national key specialty construction site. , 1 autonomous region-level key construction major, 7 autonomous region-level brand majors, 1 autonomous region-level professional comprehensive reform pilot major, 21 autonomous region-level quality courses, 1 autonomous region-level experimental teaching demonstration center, 4 autonomous region-level teaching teams, and autonomous region-level 1 innovation team, 1 autonomous region-level innovation platform cultivation project, 1 autonomous region-level key laboratory, and 1 autonomous region key research base.


   The school makes full use of the geographical advantages of neighboring Russia and Mongolia to actively carry out international exchanges and cooperation, establish close cooperative relations with many universities in Russia and Mongolia, exchange students regularly, and hold academic, artistic, sports and other exchange activities. The school is one of the national "Sino-Russian Joint Training of Undergraduates" project approved by the Ministry of Education. In July 2010, the school and the Study Abroad Service Center of the Ministry of Education jointly established a training base for studying abroad in Russia, which is one of the five training bases for studying abroad in Russia. From 2012 to 2015, the school was rated as a "first-level foreign-related college" by the autonomous region in the evaluation of the reputation of foreign-related colleges and foreign-related training institutions in the region.


   Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 100,000 talents at all levels and types for the society. Graduates are spread all over the region and abroad. Many graduates have developed into backbone forces on various fronts, widely recognized by the society, and won honors for the school.


   In 2015, the school initiated the transformation and development work, adjusted the orientation of running a school, and has now joined the National Alliance of Applied Technology Universities, and established the strategic goal of "serving the locality and building an applied undergraduate university". According to the industrial structure and talent market demand in Hulunbuir, the school comprehensively innovates the talent training model, optimizes the professional structure, strengthens innovation and entrepreneurship education, deepens international exchanges and cooperation, and strives to cultivate innovative and applied technical talents.


In terms of talent training, the school is actively exploring the reform of the talent training model centered on application-oriented talents: one is to build a “general + professional + direction” talent training program in accordance with the principle of "competence-based, industry demand"; the second is to establish a sound industry The system for enterprises to participate in the talent training process; third, with the "credit system" as the leader, to promote the exploration of "major and minor system", "flexible school system", "international cooperative education", "school-enterprise cooperation training", "innovation and entrepreneurship education", Diversified training modes such as "Quality Development" and "3+1" have promoted the growth of applied talents; the fourth is to build a "platform + module" applied course system.   In terms of scientific research services, the school is based on the actual needs of Hulunbuir's economic and social development and actively carries out scientific research. In 2015, the school "Meadow Grassland Ecosystem and Global Change" became a key construction laboratory at the autonomous region level, laying a solid foundation for scientific research and talent training in the field of grassland ecology for related majors.


In terms of social services and cultural inheritance, the school takes full advantage of disciplines, talents, and technology to actively integrate into the regional economic construction of Hulunbuir, and actively participates in and serves the regional economic and social development in basic education, teacher training, scientific and technological services, cultural construction, decision-making consultation, etc. . The school actively carries out cooperation negotiations with the urban area of Hulunbuir, promotes school-site cooperation, and provides talent and intellectual support for the economic and social development of Hulunbuir. In 2015, the school signed a cooperation agreement with the project office of the "Mongolian Origin and Yuan Dynasty Imperial Tombs" project commissioned by the National Major Social Science Fund to build a distinctive cultural brand around the history and culture of the northern ethnic groups, serve the society and promote the inheritance and innovation of regional culture Mutual integration plays an active role.


  The school undertakes the task of training safety technology for mine managers, safety production managers and special operators of all coal mines in the eastern region of Inner Mongolia for many years, and trains more than 3,000 people per year. As a base for continuing education and teacher training for primary and secondary school teachers in Hulunbuir City, from 2011 to 2015, we trained 23,004 primary and secondary school principals, deans of academic affairs, directors of political education, head teachers, mental health education teachers, and professional teachers of various subjects in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens from 2011 to 2015. The school also undertakes the “National Training Program”, “Sunshine Project”, “Galaxy Training Project”, “Rain Dew Program”, “Five Staff Positions”, “Five Staff Continuing Education”, “Continuing Education of Transportation Industry”, and “Gachada”.
