Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities

Inner Mongolia University for Nationalities was founded in 1958. In 2000, it was formed by the merger of the former Inner Mongolia Normal College for Nationalities, Inner Mongolia Medical College, and Zhelimu College of Animal Husbandry. It is a key university in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The establishment of colleges and universities is also the national "13th Five-Year Plan" mid-western colleges and universities basic capacity building project (Phase II) supporting colleges and universities. The school is located in the eastern part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in Tongliao City, known as the "Pearl of Horqin Grassland". It has two campuses in Huolin River and Xilamulun, covering an area of 1.0434 million square meters and a building area of 532,400 square meters. The area is 399,600 square meters, the total fixed assets are 960 million yuan, the total value of teaching and research equipment is 294 million yuan, and the collection of paper books is more than 1.678 million.


The school has 25 teaching units, 6 teaching assistant units, 1 subsidiary unit, and 76 undergraduate majors, covering economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, and management. , Art and other 11 disciplines. Among them, there are 1,190 full-time teachers, 760 teachers with senior professional titles, and 295 teachers with doctoral degrees. There are 1475 employees in the affiliated hospital, including 475 doctors and 103 senior titles. The school is a Chinese government scholarship training unit for foreign students in China. It has 28 foreign universities including Buryatia National Agricultural University in Russia, Mongolian National Medical University, Jacksonville State University in the United States, Newcastle University in Australia, Saetsu University of Education in Japan, and Gangwon University in South Korea. Universities and institutions have established friendly cooperative relations. Among them, the cooperation and exchange with the National Medical University of Mongolia has achieved remarkable results. The key laboratory of Mongolian medicine research and development engineering, the Mongolian medicine pharmaceutical factory, the cooperative international Mongolian medicine hospital and the Mongolian medicine joint research center have been established in Mongolia. The school is the training unit of the "International Undergraduate Academic Mutual Recognition Courses (ISEC)" program of the China Scholarship Council, offering 6 "ISEC" program majors. Mongolian medicine is a characteristic and advantageous discipline of our school. In 2012, Mongolian medicine was approved to serve the national special needs talents doctoral program. In 2015, Mongolian medicine was approved by the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Doctor Training Program" and won more than 300 national scientific research projects. Projects and funding reached more than 80 million yuan, leading domestic and foreign areas in discipline construction, talent training, and integration of production, teaching and research. It has become a relatively concentrated teaching, scientific research, and clinical personnel in the Mongolian medicine field. Laboratory equipment and clinical teaching conditions are superior. An important talent training base and academic research base with a clear direction and distinctive ethnic characteristics. At present, the school implements the spirit of the important instructions when Secretary Li Jiheng visited our school, and makes every effort to promote the construction of national key laboratories and first-class disciplines of Mongolian medicine.


There is one affiliated hospital directly affiliated to the country, which is a national tertiary level A general hospital for ethnic medicine. It is the only national key integrated Mongolian and western medicine hospital in the country. The standardized training base for resident physicians has 1,094 medical staff and 1,300 open beds. There are 4 non-directly affiliated hospitals, the Second Affiliated Hospital (Inner Mongolia Forestry General Hospital), the Third Affiliated Hospital (The Second Hospital of Chifeng City), and Hulunbuir Clinical Medical College (Hulunbuir People's Hospital). Affiliated Mongolian Medicine Hospital (Tongliao Mongolian Medicine Central Hospital) is under construction.
