The predecessor of Baoding Preschool Teachers College is Baoding Teachers College Zhuozhou Branch. It is the fruit of the opening of two middle school sisters, the former Hebei Dingxing Preschool Normal School and Hebei Zhuozhou Art Normal School.
The school is divided into Zhuozhou campus and Dingxing campus, with a total area of 390 acres and a total construction area of 116264 square meters. Zhuozhou Campus is located on the north side of Zhuolai Road, Zhuozhou City, 2 kilometers east of National Highway 107, and 15 kilometers west of highway hubs such as Jingkun, Langzhuo, Zhangzhuo and Zhangshi. Dingxing campus is located on Xinghua East Road, Dingxing County.
Since the original Dingxing kindergarten teacher was changed to kindergarten teacher in 1984, it has gone through 32 years of glorious journey of training and training kindergarten teachers. It has cultivated a large number of qualified and talented kindergarten talents for Hebei Province and the whole country. The school is the first batch of United Nations in the country. The UNICEF cooperative training project school has been praised by the industry as the "Pearl of Early Childhood Education in North China" for its distinctive school-running characteristics and solid professional skills in the national preschool education evaluation. Since its establishment in 1930, the original Zhuozhou Normal School has changed its name several times. After vicissitudes of life, it has trained a large number of elementary and middle school teachers and management cadres for the society and enjoys a high reputation in the province. In the long history of running schools, the two normal schools have accumulated rich experience in running schools and excellent school spirit and style of study. They have formed distinct school running characteristics and outstanding development advantages in early childhood education and art education respectively. After the merger of the two normal schools in 2001, the strong alliance made the school more obvious in terms of resources such as education and teaching level, facilities and equipment. In the evaluation of the preschool education and elementary education majors in the province in 2003, the three majors of preschool education, art education, and music education all ranked first in the province. In particular, the preschool education major became a brand major in Hebei Province. In 2002 and 2004, he was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit of Spiritual Civilization Construction in Hebei Province" twice. The school's leadership team has been rated as "Unit with Outstanding Work Performance" by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for 8 consecutive times. In 2007, it was named "National Advanced Unit of Campus Culture". In 2007, he hosted the eleventh annual meeting of the "National Children's Literature Research Association of Teachers Colleges". In 2008, he was awarded the honorary title of "China Education Innovation Demonstration Unit". In 2014, he was awarded the title of "Model China·China Top Ten Superior Technical Colleges".
The school plans the professional layout and strengthens professional construction in accordance with the principle of "preschool education as the main body, art education as the characteristic, and child development related fields as the support". The school has four departments (departments): Preschool Education Department, Art Education Department, Humanities and Social Sciences Department, and Technical Secondary School Department. There are 10 majors including preschool education, early education, English education (preschool direction), physical education (preschool direction), music education, art education, dance performance, illustration, elementary education (liberal arts), and elementary education (science). There are 375 faculty members and 5268 students. The school also shoulders the tasks of national, provincial and municipal training for kindergarten teachers, and has gradually become a kindergarten teacher training center, continuing education center, information exchange center and scientific research center in north-central Hebei Province.
