Bohai Petroleum Vocational College is a public full-time general higher education institution jointly established by China National Petroleum Corporation and Hebei Province to recruit students across the country. The college was established at the beginning of the North China Petroleum Campaign in 1976, and was renamed Bohai Petroleum Vocational College with the approval of the Ministry of Education in December 2004. In August 2006, China National Petroleum Corporation established the "PetroChina North China Technician Academy" in the college to undertake the task of training and training group company technicians, senior technicians and high-skilled personnel.
The college is located in Renqiu City, Hebei Province, the location of the North China Oilfield, a large state-owned enterprise in the South of Beijing. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway and the Beijing-Kowloon Highway (National Highway 106), the major transportation artery that runs from the north to the south, pass through the city, and the traffic is extremely convenient.
The college covers an area of 1129 acres, the school building area is 155,000 square meters, the original value of teaching facilities and equipment is 128 million yuan, and the library has a total of 490,000 books. It has built modern teaching facilities such as multimedia network classrooms, voice classrooms, and micro-teaching classrooms. The college also has ten crude oil production wells as professional production practice bases for oil production, storage and transportation. . Among them, the Well Control Training Center is a training base for the drilling and downhole operators of China National Petroleum Corporation. It has been confirmed by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) to have well control training qualifications and HSE international certification rights. The college currently has 395 full-time teachers, including 108 professors and associate professors, and 248 lecturers.
