Shijiazhuang Vocational College of Industry and Commerce is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Hebei Provincial Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The predecessor of the college was the Hebei Journalism College founded by the Communist Youth League Hebei Provincial Committee in October 1983. In June 1995, it was renamed as Hebei Youth Training College. In May 2003, it was transformed into Shijiazhuang Vocational College of Industry and Commerce.
College is located at the Minxin River in the Southwest Higher Education District of Shijiazhuang City, the provincial capital. Here weeping willows and blue waves, the scenery is beautiful; colleges and universities are gathered, the cultural atmosphere is strong; adjacent to Shijiazhuang Station, the transportation is convenient. The college covers an area of 360,000 square meters, with a construction area of 98,000 square meters. It has modern teaching buildings, training buildings, libraries, apartments, canteens, supermarkets, bathrooms, infirmaries and other facilities, with good learning and living conditions. .
The college has seven secondary colleges: School of Management, School of Business, School of Engineering, School of Architecture and Art, School of Entrepreneurship (e-commerce), School of Nursing, and School of Rail Technology. In 2018, 40 majors were enrolled nationwide.
In recent years, the college has strengthened its connotation construction and continuously improved the quality of education and teaching. The graduates of the college are well received by employers for their excellent professional qualities and professional skills. In 2017, the employment rate of graduates reached 97.25%.
