Shijiazhuang Information Engineering Vocational College is a municipal and state-run full-time higher vocational college sponsored by the Shijiazhuang Municipal People's Government.
The college was founded in 1963 and has successively used the names "Shijiazhuang Commissioner's Office Commercial Vocational School", "Shijiazhuang District Finance and Trade School", and "Shijiazhuang District Commercial School". In 1985, the name "Shijiazhuang District Finance and Trade School" was restored. In 1993, the school was renamed "Shijiazhuang City Finance and Economics School". In 1999, the original Shijiazhuang Finance and Economics School, the First Commercial School, the Second Commercial School, and the Finance and Trade Cadre School merged to form the new Shijiazhuang Finance and Economics School. In 2002, it was upgraded to Shijiazhuang Information Engineering Vocational College. In 2004, Shijiazhuang Textile Technical School was merged into the college.

The new campus of Gaocheng of the college covers an area of 1932.8 acres. There are currently more than 18,000 students. There are 9 departments, 4 departments and 1 college, namely: Media Art Department, Software Engineering Department, Computer Application Department, Network and Communication Engineering Department, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department, Department of Economics and Trade, Department of Management, Department of Accounting, Department of Agriculture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry and Medicine, Department of Basic Education, Department of Physical Education, Department of Foreign Language Education and Training, Department of Continuing Education, and School of Marxism.
It mainly offers 42 majors including electronic information, finance and commerce, culture and art, and equipment manufacturing. 2 majors and 1 training base received key support from the central finance, 4 majors received key support from the provincial finance, and 1 provincial, 4 municipal backbone majors, 3 municipal key majors, excellent courses and resources at all levels were established There are 169 shared courses and online open courses.
There are 4 construction projects in the "Hebei Province Higher Vocational Education Innovation Development Action Plan (2019-2021)"; there are 4 Ministry of Education 1+X certificates for smart finance and taxation, financial digital application, 5G mobile network operation and maintenance, and virtual reality application development System pilot project. In the Chinese Academy of Management Science "2019 China Higher Vocational and Technical Professional Rankings", the electronic information major ranks first in the province, and the financial and commercial majors, public management and service majors rank second in the province.
The college has always adhered to the road of "integration of production and education, and school-enterprise cooperation". As of September 2020, there are 101 on-campus practical training bases and 112 off-campus practical training bases. The employment rate of graduates remains above 96%.
In the past five years, 7429 students have been enrolled in correspondence and distance education, more than 580,000 people have been organized for training and examinations, more than 30,000 people have taken IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, and ACCA examinations, and more than 2.48 million art professional school examinations have been taken. Social service capabilities have been steadily improved.
