Jitang College of North China University of Technology is located in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, with Yanshan Mountain in the north and Bohai Sea in the south. It is rich in products, well-developed transportation, long history and culture, and rich in humanities. Under the national development strategy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration, it forms the "Golden Triangle" of economic development in the Bohai Rim region with Beijing and Tianjin.
North China University of Science and Technology Jitang College (undergraduate) was founded in 2001, approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province, North China Coal Medical College organized the Bohai Branch. On June 28, 2002, with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Government, the Bohai Branch was renamed Jitang Branch of North China Coal Medical College. In January 2004, approved by the Hebei Provincial Department of Education and submitted to the Ministry of Education for approval, the school name was standardized as Jitang College (Independent College) of North China Coal Medical College. In December 2010, North China Coal Medical College and Hebei University of Technology merged to form Hebei Union University, and the college was renamed Hebei Union University Jitang College. In April 2015, Hebei Union University was renamed North China University of Technology, and the college was renamed North China University of Technology Jitang College.
In August 2008, the Fengnan campus of Jitang College was completed and put into use. The new campus covers an area of 500 acres and has a total construction area of 186,000 square meters. It has a fully functional teaching area, sports area, student living area and logistics service area, and facilities. Complete and elegant, it is one of the few independent college campuses built in accordance with modern standards in Hebei Province.
Relying on the comprehensive advantages of North China University of Technology, the college implements the people-oriented philosophy of running a school, with the purpose of inheriting knowledge, cultivating talents, and serving the society, and is oriented by market demand. There are nine majors including medical imaging technology, pharmacy, Chinese medicine, law, English, and nursing. The disciplines involve four disciplines: medicine, science, literature, and law. At present, 7 teaching bases undertaking the whole process of clinical teaching have been established, including the Affiliated Hospital of North China University of Technology and the 252nd Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and have built Beijing Aviation General Hospital, Beijing Jingmei Group General Hospital, and Tianjin Armed Police Medical College. The 46 practice teaching bases of many well-known domestic hospitals such as the hospital have created a high-level and high-level learning and practice platform for students.
