Hebei Transportation Vocational and Technical College is located in Shijiazhuang City, the capital of Hebei Province. It is a provincial public full-time college with distinctive transportation characteristics. In July 2019, it was identified as a national high-quality junior vocational college; in August 2019, it was identified as a national innovation and entrepreneurship typical experience college.
Hebei Transportation Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1956. It has undergone six changes of Shijiazhuang Highway Engineering School, Hebei Transportation College and Hebei Transportation School of the Ministry of Communications. It held undergraduate education from 1958 to 1962. In 2002, it was upgraded and restructured from Hebei Transportation School to Hebei Transportation. Vocational and Technical College is now under the Hebei Provincial Department of Education. The college is the award-winning unit of the National May 1st Labor Award, the national digital campus construction experimental school and model school, and the demonstration vocational education group (alliance) cultivation unit of the Ministry of Education.
The college recruits students from all over the country. There are 3 campuses including Zhujiang Avenue and Youyi Avenue in Shijiazhuang City, and Heiniucheng Road in Hexi District, Tianjin, with more than 15,000 students.
