Hebei Vocational and Technical College of Chemical Industry and Medicine

In 1912, the school was renamed Zhili Class A Industrial School. It was the only secondary industrial vocational school in Zhili. In 1934, it was named Hebei Provincial Baoding Senior Industrial Vocational School. In 1937, the Japanese invaded China and Baoding fell. The school was forced to suspend classes and moved to Shisi Town, Xin'an County, Henan Province, Zhouzhi, Shaanxi Province, and Xi'an. In 1946, the school was reopened in Tianjin Xinkaihe Fazheng Bridge North (formerly Tianjin Commercial Vocational Site), and the "Hebei Provincial Baoding Industrial Vocational School" was established. In 1947, the students and some faculty and staff of the "Hebei Provincial Industrial Vocational School" in Xi'an were merged into the "Hebei Provincial Baoding Industrial Vocational School". In 1949, the school moved from Tianjin to Shijiazhuang and was named "Hebei Industrial School". In 1982, it was renamed "Hebei Chemical School". In May 2002, approved by the Hebei Provincial Government, it was upgraded to "Hebei Chemical and Pharmaceutical Vocational and Technical College", and the school entered the ranks of higher vocational education.
