Baoding Vocational and Technical College is a state-run comprehensive full-time general higher vocational school located in Baoding, a famous historical and cultural city. The predecessor of the college was founded in 1935 and has a long history of running a school for 86 years.
The college currently has more than 14,000 full-time students. There are 490 full-time teachers, of which more than 60% are "dual-qualified" teachers. The college has 10 departments of Agriculture, Forestry and Biological Engineering, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Engineering, Economic Management, Business Technology, Trade and Tourism Management, Art Design, Media Art and 10 departments. There are 3 departments of Marxism Teaching Department, Basic Teaching Department, and Physical Education Department. In October 2018, with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Department of Education, the college took the lead in establishing the Hebei Modern Logistics Vocational Education Group and served as the chairman unit. In May 2019, Hebei Modern Logistics Vocational Education Group, Beijing Business Vocational Education Group and Tianjin Transportation Vocational Education Group jointly established the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Smart Logistics School-Enterprise Alliance, and our school was elected as the chairman unit.
The college was selected by the Ministry of Education as a pilot for education informatization of vocational colleges (one of the two pilot higher vocational colleges in the province), and was designated by the Baoding Municipal People’s Government as the “Leading School of Vocational and Technical Education in Baoding”, and was approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communications.
