Hebei Institute of Science and Technology is located in Baoding City, Hebei Province, an ancient historical and cultural city, adjacent to Xiongan New District. A full-time undergraduate college with coordinated development of engineering, management, economics and art. The school has a board of directors, school party committees, and school affairs committees, and the principal responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors is implemented.
The school covers an area of nearly 1,500 acres, with a total area of 350,000 square meters of school buildings, an area of 54,000 square meters of sports venues and sports facilities; the total value of teaching equipment is nearly 60 million yuan. Teaching uses 1,200 computers; 98 multimedia classrooms and speech classrooms with 11,772 seats. There are 110 seats for 100 students in multimedia classrooms and speech rooms. The school library has a building area of 14,000 square meters, with a collection of 927,000 books, 230,000 VIP e-journals, 74 newspapers, 7,269 periodicals, and 1.2 million e-books. The school now has 10 functional offices, including the office of the principal (party committee), the academic affairs office, and the academic and engineering office. The teaching auxiliary units include a library, a modern technology education center, a labor union, a Communist Youth League, and a student union. There are five secondary colleges of engineering, construction engineering, economic management, and art, and a total of 8 teaching units including the nursing department, the public course department, and the training department. There are 27 undergraduate majors and 50 junior college majors. The school has a professional practice experimental teaching center and modern laboratory for electromechanical, automobile, architecture, finance, art, nursing, etc. with complete equipment and facilities, as well as a multi-functional lecture hall, a student activity center, a comprehensive stadium and other facilities and advanced equipment. The school currently has 1 provincial-level experimental teaching center for mechanical and electrical engineering, 8 experimental centers, and 1 engineering training center; the school has built more than 100 off-campus practice bases, which not only meets the needs of students for internships, but also contributes to the economic development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Provided support.
In recent years, the school has successively introduced military culture, traditional culture and industrial culture, forming a distinctive school-running characteristic of "traditional culture guides, military culture norms, and work-study training".
