Huaxin College of Hebei University of Geosciences (formerly Huaxin College of Shijiazhuang School of Economics) was established in 2001 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Hebei Province. In cooperation with the center, an independent full-time general undergraduate higher education institution established in accordance with the new mechanism and new model. College is located in Shijiazhuang Airport Industrial Park, adjacent to Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport and the airport high-speed railway station, Shijiazhuang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway. The campus is planned to cover an area of 1,350 acres, of which the first phase of the project covers an area of 506 acres, with a construction area of 250,000 square meters. Hebei University of Geosciences is a university affiliated to the former Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources (now the Ministry of Land and Resources) which specializes in cultivating economic management and geological talents. In 2000, the school management system was transferred from the management of the Ministry of Land and Resources to a joint construction between the central and local governments, with Hebei Province as the main management system.
