Hebei University of Foreign Languages is the only independent undergraduate foreign language university in Hebei Province officially approved by the Ministry of Education. Hebei University of Foreign Languages is a national application-oriented talent training project base, one of the first batch of 10 applied undergraduate colleges and universities established by the People’s Government of Hebei Province, a foreign language talent supply base for national aid to Africa, and a central and eastern European language talent training base in Hebei Province Base: It is the national language talent training base determined by the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, and the Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs in Hebei Province along the "Belt and Road" national language talent training base. It is the most comprehensive foreign language university in the country. At present, the school has formed a coordinated development of eight disciplines including literature, economics, management, education, art, medicine, engineering, and science. The school employs 1,300 "expert-type" professionals from all walks of life as professional course instructors, and 103 foreign experts from 30 countries, covering English, Japanese, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, and Portuguese 48 languages including Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Mongolian, Hausa, Persian, Swahili, Hindi, Indonesian, Polish, Swedish, Bengali, and Greek. The “Language Natural Learning Method” pioneered by the college allows beginner foreign language learners to communicate fluently with foreigners in four months, and has been identified as a national key scientific research project by the Ministry of Education. In order to achieve the goal of running an international university, our school has cooperated with the United States, Britain, Spain, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Slovenia, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Hungary. 204 universities in 57 countries including Albania, Estonia, Macedonia, Serbia, and the United Arab Emirates have signed cooperative education agreements, including 17 famous universities in 13 Central and Eastern European countries, covering the official languages of all countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The school has more than 70 Sino-foreign cooperative exchange programs at the undergraduate, master, and doctoral levels. In 2015, our school was determined by the Hebei Provincial People’s Government as the province’s first national language talent training base along the “Belt and Road”. In order to do a good job in cultivating language talents related to the national Central and Eastern European project, our school sent 75 students to Central and Eastern Europe. The partner university conducted a one-year intensive language training, opened a "16 Central and Eastern European Language Training Course", and hired 17 foreign teachers from partner universities in Bulgaria, Slovenia, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, Serbia, Albania and other countries to teach in our school At present, more than 300 students are participating in the study.

Since 2014, in Xinhua News Agency and Xinhuanet’s Annual Voice of Education of Great Powers, Hawai has been voted first by netizens for three consecutive years, and won the title of "Chinese Social Influential Private Colleges" and "China Social Influential Employment Model Colleges" ". In 2016, Professor Sun Jianzhong, the chairman and principal of our school, was rated as the national "student favorite university president" by the Chinese Higher Education Association of the Ministry of Education. 18 of the 48 university presidents who have won this honor are from the national 985 and 211 colleges and universities. The principal, 4 are national academicians. Professor Sun Jianzhong, the president of Hebei University of Foreign Languages, is the only private university president in Hebei Province to receive this honor. In April of the same year, President Sun was hired by the Hebei Provincial Government as one of the 68 Librarians of Literary and History Research Librarians in the province. He was also a special researcher in the Counselor Office of the Hebei Provincial People's Government. Governor Zhang Qingwei personally issued an appointment certificate to President Sun Jianzhong.
In May 2017, the principal, Professor Sun Jianzhong, was awarded the two honorary titles of "Hebei Province May 1st Labor Medal" and "Hebei Province Annual Model Worker Caring Charity Star". There are 192 "Hebei Province May 1st Labor Medal" awarded by the province. There are only 6 "Hebei Province Model Workers and Charity Stars of the Year", and President Sun Jianzhong is the only university president in the province that has won both honors at the same time.
The school library has a collection of 980,000 books, 263 kinds of Chinese and foreign periodicals, and more than 1.2 million Chinese and foreign e-books. They are also introduced on CNKI. Teachers and students on campus can access book resources at any time through campus wired or wireless networks. Classes are all multimedia classrooms, and classes are all infrared language rooms. There are 20 digital audio-visual studios and 1,300 microcomputers. The campus TV station can receive and broadcast foreign language TV programs in various languages at the same time. Each language has a language situational teaching and training room that our school pioneered in the country, and each major has a corresponding professional teaching and training room.
The "Dragon Phoenix Planning Post" project of the college, through the "West Point" militarized management, allows more than 95% of the students to receive the training of organizational and cadre abilities in the school.
At present, our school has participated in 227 collective large-scale translation volunteer activities, with a total of more than 70,000 person-times. In June 2016, at the request of the provincial government, our school sent 75 students studying in Central and Eastern Europe back to China as volunteer interpreters for the Third China-Central and Eastern European Countries Local Leaders Meeting and Hebei International Economic and Trade Fair.
During the 2016 Tangshan World Horticultural Exposition, 110 students from our school were active in various venues. On September 25, at the first Hebei Tourism Development Conference, 20 students from our school were selected to serve as translators and volunteers for more than 80 days. On the 26th, 25 students from our school provided translation services for the 20th China (Langfang) Agricultural Products Fair. In November 2016, 84 volunteers were selected from across the school to provide conference services for the Shijiazhuang International Investment Cooperation Fair. On May 18, 2017, as the only national exhibition in Hebei Province, the "China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair" was held in Langfang. The volunteer translation team of Hebei University of Foreign Languages introduced and signed the foreign high-end talent project of the "Economic and Trade Fair". Simultaneous interpretation of the press conference was praised by the organizer and foreign experts participating in the conference! Currently, Hewai is preparing for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
The average employment rate of 12 graduates of the school is 98.54%, the professions with an employment rate of 100% account for 96.5% of the total, and the counterpart employment rate reaches 76.62%. More than 50,000 graduates are located in 126 cities in 26 provinces across the country. 4,316 graduates entered the Fortune Global 500 and China’s Top 500, 2015 studied abroad, 1197 went abroad for employment, and 103 countries were employed. Among them, 19 students have served as accompanying interpreters for Chinese and foreign heads of state. Among the graduates, there are 15,846 with 60,000-100,000 yuan, 13,453 with 100,000 yuan or more, and 270 graduates with annual salary of more than 450,000 yuan. The employment of graduates presents the phenomenon of "four more", that is, more people go to study abroad, more people go abroad for employment, more people enter foreign companies, and more wages. Nearly 20,000 graduates from Hawai are located in 91 countries in the world, including all countries in Africa, 2/3 countries in South America, and 1/3 countries in the Middle East. In Hebei, throughout the country, and in many parts of the world, students from Hewai can be seen active, and they are becoming a viable force to promote the cause of socialist construction in the motherland and promote international exchanges and human progress.
The Hebei Provincial School-Enterprise Employment Promotion Association initiated and established by our school has 471 member units. The Promotion Association has signed cooperation agreements with 41 directly affiliated chambers of commerce of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce. The school has conducted in-depth cooperation with chambers of commerce and member units in terms of order training, internship practice, joint construction of professional projects, development and utilization of scientific research results, and student employment. In order to facilitate the innovation and entrepreneurship of college students, the school has built the "Hebei University of Foreign Languages College Student Entrepreneurship Incubation Park", and 17 companies have now settled in it. The school also invests 1 million yuan every year to set up a special entrepreneurial fund to support students' entrepreneurship; in order to increase the success rate of students' entrepreneurship, the school occasionally invites successful entrepreneurs to enter the campus to impart entrepreneurial experience and avoid entrepreneurial risks.
The school now has nearly 3,000 people receiving national scholarships every year. The national scholarship is 8,000 yuan per person per year, the national inspirational scholarship is 5,000 yuan per person per year, and the national stipend is 4,000, 3,000, and 2,000 yuan per person per year.
