Shijiazhuang Railway Vocational and Technical College is located in Shijiazhuang City, the capital of Hebei Province. It is a provincial public full-time general college with fine traditions. It is one of the 100 demonstrative higher vocational colleges built by the state.
The college was founded in September 1950, formerly known as the Department of Financial Materials of the Engineering College of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Railway Corps; merged into the Ministry of Railways in January 1984, and in June of the same year, it was renamed as the secondary school of Shijiazhuang Railway Institute; it was rebuilt in January 1993. Shijiazhuang Railway Engineering School, an independent school in January 1994, is affiliated to China Railway Construction Corporation; in July 2000, it was upgraded to Shijiazhuang Railway Engineering Vocational and Technical College, and its current name was changed in September 2003; it was transferred to Hebei Province in August 2005 Management by the people's government. In October 2007, it was approved as a national exemplary higher vocational college project construction unit. In May 2010, it passed the acceptance check with excellent results and was determined to be a national exemplary higher vocational college. It is now the National High-Quality Vocational College Project Construction Unit of the "Higher Vocational Education Innovation Development Action Plan (2015-2018)", the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of national vocational college digital campus construction experimental schools, the first Approved the national vocational college cultural quality education base construction unit, the Ministry of Education-Xunfang Industry-University Cooperation Cooperative Education Project ICT teacher training base. The college currently has three campuses including Sishuichang Road, Xuefu Road, and North Second Ring East Road. The college enrolls students from all over the country. The college now has Railway Engineering Department, Architecture Department, Surveying and Mapping Engineering Department, Information Engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, Rail Transit Department (Mechanical Engineering Department), Economic Management Department, Humanities and Social Sciences Department, International Transportation College, and Ideological and Political Theory Teaching Research Department There are 12 teaching departments (college, department), 52 majors (directions) for admissions.
