The School of Economics and Management of Hebei University of Economics and Business is organized by Hebei University of Economics and Business. It operates in accordance with the new mechanism and new mode of undergraduate-level full-time general colleges and universities. The college was established with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Government (Jijiaofa [2001] No. 81 Document) in July 2001 and was reported to the Ministry of Education for the record. At that time, the college was named "Hebei University of Economics and Business Caitong College". In May 2003, according to the Hebei Provincial Department of Education Ji Jiao Fa [2003] No. 57 document, the Caitong College of Hebei University of Economics and Business was renamed the School of Economics and Management of Hebei University of Economics and Business. The following year, according to Ji Jiao Fa [2004] No. 107 document, our college became one of the first batch of independent colleges confirmed by the Ministry of Education.


   Our college is located in the Southwest Higher Education District of Shijiazhuang City, with a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and a good humanistic environment and teaching atmosphere. It is an ideal place for university students to study. The school’s existing school building area is about 230,000 square meters, the total value of fixed assets is about 168,703,800 yuan (including teaching and scientific research equipment assets of about 3,964,700 yuan), it has 2 libraries, a collection of more than 822,800 books, and digital voice laboratory seats. There are 594 seats, 7723 seats in multimedia classrooms, 18 highly-configured computer rooms and multi-functional academic lecture halls, a simulated securities market running synchronously with the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges, an ERP experiment center and other professional laboratories. Our school has six teaching departments, including economics, management, information, grammar, accounting, and business, and offers 33 undergraduate majors, involving six universities in economics, management, law, literature, engineering and science.
