Baoding College is a full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school is located in Baoding City, Hebei Province, adjacent to Xiongan New District, with convenient transportation, beautiful environment, and good geographical location advantages and economic and cultural conditions. It has successively won the honorary titles of National Civilized Unit and Advanced Collective of Party Building Work in Hebei Colleges and Universities. In 2016, the school was listed as a pilot institution for the “13th Five-Year Plan” Project of Integration of Production and Education by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Education.
The school has a history of more than one hundred years. In 1910, it was renamed as "Zhili Second Primary Normal School", and in 1928, it was renamed as "Hebei Provincial Second Normal School" along with the province. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was named "Hebei Provincial Baoding Normal School". In 1978, it was rebuilt as "Baoding Teachers College". In 2007, it was upgraded to an undergraduate level college and renamed "Baoding College".
