Langfang Teachers College

Langfang Teachers College is a provincial full-time general undergraduate college located in Langfang, Hebei Province, a pearl city on the Beijing-Tianjin corridor. Its predecessor was the Anci County Simple Normal School established in 1946. It was renamed Hebei Langfang Normal School in 1956, and was promoted to Hebei Langfang Normal College in 1964. In 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Langfang Teachers College, Langfang Education College, and Langfang Teachers College merged to form Langfang Teachers College. In December 2004, it merged with Hebei Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Government to form the new Langfang Teachers College.

The school is divided into two campuses, Langfang and Gu'an. It covers an area of 2,000 acres, with a building area of more than 450,000 square meters. The total fixed assets are 524 million yuan, the total value of teaching and research equipment is 159 million yuan, the collection of literature is 1.4 million volumes, and electronic books. 1.13 million copies. The school has 15 secondary colleges, ideological and political theory teaching department, 14 party and government departments and 4 teaching assistant units, forming a variety of education forms such as general undergraduate (college) education, higher vocational education, and continuing education. Since 2010, it has undertaken more than 1,200 scientific research projects at various levels (including platform projects), including 16 national-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Foundation, and 199 provincial and ministerial-level projects. Established cooperative relations with universities and scientific research institutions in many countries and regions such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Sweden, Taiwan, etc. More than 10 overseas colleges and universities, including the University of Waterloo in Canada and the University of Malaya in Malaysia, have carried out extensive cooperation in the fields of teaching, student exchange, mutual recognition of credits, teacher training, and cooperative scientific research. The school actively organizes undergraduate students to study abroad or cultural exchanges. There are currently 50 international students; in the past three years, it has recommended that volunteer Chinese teachers and publicly sent Chinese teachers go to foreign Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms to teach 79 people, and 28 foreign teachers are accepted as teachers.
