North China University of Technology

North China University of Science and Technology is a province with a coordinated development of science, economics, management, literature, law, art, education, and other disciplines, including engineering and medicine as the main focus. It is a key backbone university and a national first-class university supported by the province. The school is a university jointly built by the Hebei Provincial People's Government and the former State Administration of Work Safety, Hebei Provincial People's Government and the National Defense Science, Technology and Industry Administration. In the U.S.News (American University Rankings) 2021 World University Rankings, the school ranks 154th among mainland universities and 2nd among universities in Hebei Province.

The predecessor of the school, Hebei Union University, was approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2010 and was formed by the former Hebei University of Technology and North China Coal Medical College. In February 2015, it was renamed North China University of Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The predecessor of Hebei Polytechnic University was the Mining School of Beiyang Xixuetang founded in 1895. It was founded in 1958. In 1959, the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Tianjin University was incorporated into the organization. School of Mining and Metallurgy, Tangshan College of Engineering and Technology, Hebei Institute of Technology and other school names. The predecessor of North China Coal Medical College was the Kailuan Senior Nursing Vocational School founded in 1926. In 1958, it was renamed Kailuan Medical College. In 1963, Fuxin Coal Mine Hygiene School and Tangshan Medical School merged into Tangshan Coal Mine Medical College and started undergraduate. Formation, once used the school name Hebei Medical College.

The school currently has 43,491 full-time students, including 33,111 undergraduates, 4,189 doctoral and master students, and 256 international students.
