Beijing Sports Vocational College is a higher sports vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People’s Government and established by the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau in June 2008. It is a fully funded institution. The institute is integrated on the basis of the original Beijing Workers' Sports Technical College and Beijing No. 2 and No. 5 Sports Schools.
Existing majors: Competitive sports majors, sports training majors (competitive physical training direction), social sports majors (health and fitness direction), sports health majors, sports services and management majors.
Current source of students: Beijing municipal outstanding sports team, local residents, athletes from other provinces and cities who have entered Beijing’s collective registered high school, and Beijing general high school graduates.
Its main functions are: Responsible for the management of all kinds of academic education jointly organized by the college and brother colleges, higher vocational education, secondary vocational education, vocational skills training and other various non-academic education (training classes); in accordance with the relevant policies and regulations of the Municipal Education Commission Work with the overall development plan of the school, formulate the college higher education and secondary vocational education development plan, put forward educational management reform opinions, and organize the implementation; undertake the enrollment, student status management, graduate review and graduation certificate issuance of higher vocational education and secondary vocational education; Responsible for the basic education, academic education and professional skills training of Beijing's outstanding athletes, coaches, and social sports management talents; undertaking related training matters within the Beijing Sports Bureau system; undertaking the professional skills and related skills during the transition of the Beijing Sports Bureau system for outstanding athletes Training work.
The academy focuses on the training of sports vocational skills, and cultivates various sports professionals with good vocational qualities, relevant theoretical knowledge and professional skills for Beijing's construction of an international sports center city, and at the same time builds bridges for the smooth transition and employment of athletes after retirement. The college also carries out various job qualification trainings related to sports occupations, and cultivates sports talents from multiple angles and levels.
