The predecessor of the college was the teaching team of Heilongjiang Forest Police Corps established in September 1978. In May 2000, the Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, and Jilin Forest Police School merged to form the Armed Police Forest Command School. Moved to Beijing in June 2003 to run a school. Undergraduate education was launched in July 2004.
