The China Conservatory of Music was established in 1964. The school adheres to the party’s leadership, adheres to the socialist direction of running a school, based on Chinese learning, has unique Chinese music education and research characteristics, and cultivates Chinese music theory, Chinese music creation, and Chinese music performance professionals; with the school’s philosophy of "inheriting Chinese learning and promoting the country" "Rhyme, Education of National Instruments, Strong National Music" as the guide, advocate and build the "Chinese Music School". The school takes the first-level discipline music and dance as the core of running the school. It is the only doctoral training unit in the country for the study of music and performing arts; it has the right to grant doctorate, master, bachelor and master of arts (MFA) in music and dance, and has the "Music and Dance" "Learning" post-doctoral research mobile station is the "University for International Students Accepting Chinese Government Scholarships" and "Chinese Music School" high-tech innovation center school. The majors are divided into three categories: Musicology, Composition and Composition Technology Theory, and Music Performance. There are also a Chinese Orchestra Advanced Innovation Center, a graduate school, an examination art center (aesthetic education center) and an affiliated high school. , Chinese music performance as a whole multi-level teaching system.
The school has a collection of famous teachers, strong teaching and scientific research capabilities, and all disciplines are at the leading level in the country. Numerous talent pools composed of famous national university teaching teachers, young and middle-aged experts with outstanding national contributions, experts enjoying special government allowances, and famous university teaching teachers in Beijing. They are a national "teaching team", a national special professional construction site, and talents from the Ministry of Education. The construction of innovative experimental areas for training models, Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Research Base, Beijing’s key disciplines, and undertaking of national-level key scientific research projects have provided strong support.
