Beijing Vocational College of Economics and Management

Beijing Vocational College of Economics and Management (Beijing Managers College) is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, registered by the Ministry of Education, and in charge of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. The history of the school can be traced back to the Beijing Municipal Economic Commission Staff Education Teacher Training School established in 1979; Beijing Economic Management Cadre College was established in 1984; Hebei Far East Vocational and Technical College was transferred to Beijing Economic Management Cadre College in 2003. In the same year, the original The State Economic and Trade Commission established the Beijing Managers College in Beijing Economic Management Cadre College; in 2006, the school was transformed into an ordinary higher education school and named Beijing Vocational College of Economics and Management (Beijing Managers College).


   The school has two campuses, Wangjing and Gu'an, with a total area of 1289 acres and a building area of 130,000 square meters. The total value of fixed assets is 372 million yuan, of which the total value of teaching and research equipment is 102 million yuan. The classrooms are all equipped with a multimedia teaching technology environment, and the teaching and office areas have full wireless network coverage. The library has a collection of 509,600 books and 32,500GB of e-books, 52 on-campus practice bases, and 59 off-campus practice bases. The beautiful campus environment, advanced teaching equipment, and complete training base provide good conditions for guaranteeing high-quality vocational education.


The school has 8 teaching institutions including the School of Management, the School of Accounting, the School of Finance, the School of Information, the School of Engineering and Technology, the Department of Foreign Languages, the Department of Basic Education, and the Department of Ideological and Political Affairs. There are 29 enrollment majors and directions. Among them, the national level and Beijing There are 2 pilot majors for the teaching reform of higher vocational education, 1 Beijing characteristic major, and 13 key construction majors in the school, forming a professional layout of "key majors leading, characteristic majors driven, and main majors supported". The school also has a continuing education college and an international education college to carry out adult education, corporate training, foreign student education and Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools. Over the years, it has trained more than 60,000 senior management personnel of enterprises, and more than 10,000 international students from more than 100 countries have come to the college to study. The scale of corporate training and international student training ranks among the leading vocational colleges.


The school currently has more than 3,200 full-time students, 519 faculty members, 192 full-time teachers, 31% of senior professional and technical teachers, 69% of young and middle-aged teachers with a master’s degree or above, and “dual-teacher” professional teachers 33%, 6 famous teaching teachers in Beijing, 21 outstanding young backbone teachers, 1 famous vocational teacher at the municipal level, 1 leader in the support plan for high-level innovation and entrepreneurship talents in Beijing, 2 outstanding teaching teams in Beijing, vocational colleges 3 professional innovation teams. In addition, well-known teachers from other colleges and universities, industry and enterprise experts, senior technical personnel, etc. have been hired as part-time teachers, forming a high-quality faculty with reasonable structure, overall optimization, and innovative ability. It has completed 10 Beijing-level quality courses, 19 Beijing-level quality textbooks, and 11 national planning textbooks for vocational education during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” of the Ministry of Education.

Taking the integration of work and learning and school-enterprise cooperation as the starting point, we actively promoted the reform of the talent training model, and established a "four-in-one" professional ability training system of job recognition, special skills training, comprehensive job training, and on-the-job internship. Actively build a cooperation platform for school-enterprise joint cultivation, common development, mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and have established in-depth cooperative relationships with many well-known companies such as Siemens, Beijing Gas, Lenovo, Yongqin Accounting Firm, Aerospace Golden Tax, Weize Group, etc. According to the needs of the company, jointly formulate talent training plans, jointly develop courses, jointly form teaching teams, and jointly build internal and external training bases to achieve school-enterprise linkage, co-education of talents, and integrated development of production, education and research.


  The school pays attention to student quality education and skill training. Incorporate quality education into the talent training curriculum system, relying on campus activity centers, quality education bases and other platforms to systematically and targetedly carry out quality education from five aspects of students’ ideology, morality, humanities, body and mind, occupation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and achieve students Comprehensive improvement of comprehensive quality from the inside out. The school implements the teaching-matching mechanism of "promoting teaching by competition, learning by competition, and reform by competition", organically integrating skills competition and teaching reform, focusing on cultivating students' core professional abilities, and testing the quality of talent training through various competitions From 2015 to 2016, 60 teams from the college participated in 56 skill competitions organized by the country, Beijing, and industry associations, and won 52 third-class awards or more.
