Beijing Vocational College of Economics and Trade is an ordinary university approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It has the qualification to independently issue higher education diplomas. The predecessor of Beijing Vocational College of Economics and Trade was China Social University. It was founded in 1982. It was initiated by old educators such as Nie Zhen, Liu Da, Fan Ruoyu, Zhang Youyu, and was established as the first my country after the reform and opening up with the approval of the Workers’ and Peasants Education Office of the Beijing Municipal Government. The college is located in Liangxiang Higher Education Park, Beijing. The surrounding campus has a strong academic atmosphere, convenient transportation and elegant environment. The college has four departments: the Department of International Economics and Trade, the Department of Business Administration, the Department of Foreign Languages, and the Department of Computer Technology and Application. There are more than 6,000 students in 17 higher vocational majors and professional directions and more than 20 self-examination and training majors.
The college has a stable faculty with more than 400 full-time and part-time teachers, of which 50% have senior titles.
