Beijing Vocational College of Science and Technology is a full-time comprehensive private general higher vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in 1997. In the eighteen years since its establishment, Beijing Vocational College of Science and Technology has been adhering to the mission of "Educating people and serving the country" advocated by Comrade Zhou Jiting, the secretary of the school's party committee, and has achieved extraordinary and leap-forward development and made great achievements in school construction. The Changping Shahe Campus and the Badaling Campus are formed, covering an area of 2,875 acres of trees and green trees, birds and flowers, surrounded by mountains and rivers, and pavilions and pavilions. The existing education and teaching buildings have a total construction area of more than 700,000 square meters, the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 138 million yuan, and there are 180 full-time and part-time teachers.
In 2007, the school passed the "Quality Evaluation of Talent Training in Higher Vocational Colleges". While attaching great importance to professional teaching, the school attaches great importance to ideological, political and moral education. In 2008, the school’s student volunteer service activities reached an unprecedented level. They actively donated blood and donated money and materials in the earthquake relief work; selfless dedication in the process of participating in the Olympic service has effectively improved the ideological awareness and comprehensive quality of the majority of students. The school has nearly 3000 people who directly participated in the Olympic Games model guides, competition volunteers, city volunteers, Olympic opening and closing ceremonies, Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies, pacesetter leaders, and ticketing workers. There are Paralympic bands and cheerleaders. There are 10,000 volunteers; more than 60,000 people participated in Olympic service activities. The students actively participated in Olympic services and were rewarded by the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee and highly praised by the party and state leaders.
Under the severe employment situation, the employment rate of ordinary higher vocational graduates in our school has reached 98% for many years.
