Beijing Jingbei Vocational and Technical College is a full-time higher vocational and technical college approved by the Beijing Municipal People’s Government, filed by the Ministry of Education, and independently established. It is a demonstrative higher vocational college in Beijing. Its predecessor was the Huairou Branch of Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture established in 1984. It was renamed Beijing Jingbei Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Beijing Municipal People's Government in 2002, becoming the first independent higher vocational college in the suburbs of Beijing.
College is located in Huairou City, a city with beautiful scenery, fresh air, and the reputation of "Ecological Blessed Land, Beijing Suburb Pearl, China Film City, International Club Capital". The surrounding environment is beautiful, transportation is convenient, and scenic spots are gathered. It is an ideal place for studying and living. The college covers an area of 186 acres and has a building area of 62,159 square meters; there are currently 2,100 full-time students and more than 1,700 adult education students; it has a high-quality, professional, and reasonable structure of teachers, with 123 full-time teachers. Among them, double-qualified teachers accounted for 78%, master degree or above accounted for more than 68%, and senior professional titles accounted for more than 31%.

After 30 years of higher education, the college now has four departments and three centers: Department of Construction Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Department of Management Engineering, Department of Sports Art and Health, Training Center, Adult Education Center, and Logistics Service Center. There are 15 majors in eight major categories: construction, automobile, economics, electronics, tourism, film and television, preschool education, and nursing. Among them, construction engineering technology and tourism management are key majors in Beijing; construction engineering technology, construction equipment engineering technology and automobile manufacturing and The professional training base for assembly technology is a training base supported by the central government. Our college currently has 36 on-campus training rooms, 59 off-campus training bases, and 10 vocational qualification appraisal jobs. It has developed into a higher vocational and technical college with the characteristics of the Department of Architecture and the coordinated development of multiple majors supported by the Department of Mechanical and Electrical, Management, and Sports Art and Health.
