Shaoxing College of Arts and Sciences is a general full-time comprehensive college approved by the Ministry of Education. The history of the school can be traced back to the Shanhui Junior Normal School founded in 1909. Mr. Lu Xun once served as the supervisor (principal) of the Shanhui Normal School. In 1996, Shaoxing Teachers College and Shaoxing College merged to establish Shaoxing College of Arts and Sciences.
