Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a teaching and research university with traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine as its dominant discipline. It is a key university in Zhejiang Province and a university jointly established by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Ministry of Education.


The school was founded in June 1953 and was named Zhejiang TCM Training School at the time; Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in June 1959. The school site is located at the former site of Zhejiang University, Qingchun Street, Hangzhou; it was awarded the right to confer a doctorate in 1998; 2000 In March, it moved to Hangzhou Binjiang Higher Education Park as a whole to run a school; in February 2006, it was renamed Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; in September 2015, the Fuchun campus (the relocation project of Binjiang College) was put into use, opening the two campuses. The school consists of the first clinical medical school, the second clinical medical school, the third clinical medical school/rehabilitation medical school, the fourth clinical medical school, the basic medical school/the school of public health, the school of stomatology, the school of pharmacy, the school of nursing, and the medicine College of Technology, College of Life Sciences, College of Humanities and Management, College of Marxism, College of Adult Education/Continuing Education, College of International Education, and an independent college (Binjiang College).
