China Jiliang University is the only undergraduate college in the field of metrology, standards, quality, inspection and quarantine in my country. The predecessor of the school was the Hangzhou Metrology School founded by the State Administration of Metrology in 1978. It was upgraded to the China Metrology Institute with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 1985. In 2016, it was renamed China Metrology University.
The school is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, with a beautiful campus environment and superior conditions for running a school. It has a total value of 460 million yuan in teaching and research equipment and 2.3 million paper books. There are currently 52 undergraduate majors, covering nine disciplines including engineering, science, management, law, literature, economics, medicine, agriculture, and art. The school has the National Quality Inspection Center, the key laboratory of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the National International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, the Engineering Research Center of the Ministry of Education, the National and Local Joint Engineering Laboratory, the Zhejiang Province Key Laboratory, the Zhejiang Province Engineering Laboratory and other provincial and ministerial levels There are 25 scientific research platforms mentioned above. The school gives full play to the industry’s advantages in running schools, serves the innovation-driven strategy, and comprehensively and deeply promotes the government-industry-university-research cooperation with local governments, quality inspection agencies and industry enterprises.
