Zhejiang Electric Power Vocational and Technical College is approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and is sponsored and managed by Zhejiang Electric Power Company. It is the only state-owned public full-time higher vocational and technical college in Zhejiang Province that specializes in cultivating electric power professionals. The predecessor of the college was Zhejiang Electric Power Workers University and Hangzhou Electric Power School, which were founded in 1979. The college passed the unified national admissions examination to admit new students. The school system is three years, and it is awarded a college diploma recognized by the state.
College is located in Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, with excellent comprehensive conditions for running schools. There are 287 faculty members, including 143 full-time teachers, and 30% of them have senior professional titles. The campus has a construction area of 74,254 square meters. The college has complete facilities such as teaching buildings, laboratory buildings, libraries, standard sports fields, tennis courts, gymnasiums, student apartments, and canteens. The college has built Zhejiang power grid dispatching simulation device, line microcomputer protection device, integrated automation device, power marketing training base, power plant thermal control training and simulation base, computer network technology training base, power plant pump and fan device, 300MW simulation Power plants, modern multimedia classrooms, computer-controlled speech classrooms, and e-commerce, electrical, electrical and other laboratories.
