Zhejiang Conservatory of Music

Zhejiang Conservatory of Music is a public full-time general university approved by the Ministry of Education on March 1, 2016. Organized by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, under the management of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism implement joint construction.


   College is located in the Zhijiang section of Xihu District, Hangzhou. The campus has a beautiful environment and first-class facilities. The campus covers an area of 602 acres, with a building area of 360,000 square meters. It has 1 grand theater, 3 concert halls, 3 theaters, 102 rehearsal halls, 906 piano rooms, 7 recording studios, as well as teaching aids and art practice venues such as a library, a music and modern technology experiment center, and a music production center. .


  The college has 4 first-level disciplines, including music and dance, art theory, drama and film and television, and design. Except for design, they are all listed as the provincial first-class discipline construction plan, of which music and dance are a class A plan. It has the right to grant a master's degree in music and dance and a professional degree authorization point for a master of fine arts. There are 8 majors in composition and composition technology theory, musicology, music performance, dance studies, dance performance, dance choreography, performance, art and technology. Established the Department of Composition and Conducting, Department of Musicology, Department of Music Education, Department of Piano, Department of Vocal Music and Opera, Department of Chinese Music, Department of Orchestra, Department of Pop Music, Department of Dance, Department of Drama, Department of Music Engineering, and Department of Public Basic Teaching (Marxist College ) And other 12 teaching departments (departments) and affiliated music schools, continuing education colleges, entrepreneurship colleges, international education colleges (under construction), and Li Shutong colleges (under construction). High-level art troupes such as the Symphony Orchestra, Chinese Orchestra, Eight Seconds Chorus, and Song and Dance Ensemble have been formed. Founded the journal "Music Culture Research". Signed inter-university cooperation agreements with many internationally renowned music academies such as Mozart Conservatory of Music in Austria, Royal Conservatory of Music, Royal Northern Conservatory of Music, Liszt University of Music in Hungary, University of Nottingham, etc., and with 15 music academies in Central and Eastern European countries Co-sponsored the establishment of the "China-CEEC Music School Alliance" to carry out international cooperation and exchanges. Approved by the Ministry of Education to have independent admission qualifications for art majors in undergraduate art colleges and universities, and recruit students nationwide. There are currently 2,841 students, including 2,604 undergraduates (including 5 Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students, and 3 international students), and 237 postgraduates. There are 463 faculty members, of which: 324 are full-time teachers (including 43 are senior professional titles).
