Zhejiang Hengdian Vocational College of Film and Television

Zhejiang Hengdian Vocational College of Film and Television (prepared) is approved by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province (Zhezheng Han [2006] No. 54) and established by the national super-large private enterprise-Hengdian Group. Mainly, a multidisciplinary higher vocational college supplemented by film and television arts and film and television industry management.


   Hengdian Group is a large national private enterprise with leading industries in electrical and electronics, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and film and television entertainment. Since 1996, Hengdian Group has invested more than 3 billion yuan to carefully cultivate the film and television industry, and explored a market-oriented film and television industry operation system that is independently invested and constructed by enterprises. After ten years of development and accumulation, Hengdian already has the largest 13 shooting bases in Asia and two modern studios. As of the end of 2006, there have been more than 400 and more than 10,000 episodes of film and television series including "The Opium War", "Heroes", "Yongzheng Dynasty", "Wuji", "Han Wu Dadi" and "The Golden Armor" in Hengdian. Filming, 1/3 of the domestic costume dramas were filmed in Hengdian. At most, more than 20 crews would shoot in Hengdian at the same time a day. Hengdian was thus hailed as "Chinese Hollywood" by the American "Hollywood Report" magazine. Xie Jin, Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, Tsui Hark, Tang Jili, Chow Yun-fat, Jet Li, Zhang Ziyi, Cecilia Cheung, Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung, Jay Chou and other famous directors and celebrities at home and abroad have filmed classic film and television works in Hengdian. The Hengdian Film and Television Industry Experimental Zone has become a platform for the development of China's film and television industry. With the formation of the agglomeration effect, 157 domestic and foreign film and television companies have settled in Hengdian to jointly extend the film and television industry chain and create "Chinese Hollywood".


   Zhejiang Hengdian Film and Television Vocational College (under construction) is located in Zhejiang Hengdian Film and Television Industry Experimental Zone, the country's first national-level film and television industry experimental zone. The college relies on Hengdian Film and Television City, the current domestic film and television shooting base with the most shooting scenes, the most complete supporting facilities, and the largest historical span. Training, every student will have the opportunity to participate in the film and television production process. Nearly a hundred film and television companies and institutions that settle in Zhejiang Hengdian Film and Television Industry Experimental Zone every year, as well as the film and television entertainment companies under the Hengdian Group, and Hengdian Film and Television City, can provide graduates with a large number of employment opportunities and provide a good platform for graduates to go to the country.


  The new campus of the college covers an area of more than 600 acres, with a construction area of 100,000 square meters, and a green area of more than 300 acres. The environment is beautiful. There is a mountain in the school, a pavilion on the mountain, and a lake under the mountain. Modern teaching facilities are complete, including computer networks, closed-circuit television networks, FM broadcasting networks, and program-controlled communication networks. There are gymnasiums, tennis courts, swimming pools and other relatively complete living service facilities. In 2007, the college enrolled students for the second year, and opened five majors including hosting and broadcasting (public relations etiquette direction), photography and video technology, character design, choreography, and business English. After graduating, students will be awarded a diploma (higher vocational) diploma of Zhejiang Hengdian Vocational College of Film and Television, Zhejiang Media College.
