Zhejiang Medical College

Zhejiang Medical College is approved by the Ministry of Education, the earliest independent establishment in the country and the only public college in the national drug supervision and management system that integrates the power of the whole school to train pharmacy talents. The school's predecessor was Zhejiang founded in 1984. Provincial Medical School. In December 1999, Zhejiang Medical Vocational and Technical College was approved by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. In February 2002, Zhejiang Medical College was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school intends to be upgraded to an undergraduate college and listed in the "Plan for the Establishment of Higher Education Institutions in Zhejiang Province during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period" and reported to the Ministry of Education for the record. Won 1 first prize of National Teaching Achievement Award, approved the first batch of provincial applied technology collaborative innovation centers, "Zhejiang Medicine Health Maker Commune" was selected as a provincial Maker Space, hosted 8 National Natural Science Foundation projects, won Zhejiang 11 items including the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, continue to maintain the titles of "Zhejiang Civilized Unit" and "Zhejiang Safe Campus".


The school is located in Ningbo, the hometown of Tu Youyou, the first natural science Nobel Prize winner in my country. It has two campuses in Yinzhou and Fenghua, covering an area of 933 acres and a total construction area of 307,900 square meters. There are currently more than 570 faculty members. The school has 7 colleges including the School of Pharmacy, the School of Pharmaceutical Engineering, the School of Business, the School of Chinese Materia Medica, the School of Food, the School of Medical Devices, and the School of Basic Education. The school has always been adhering to the school motto of "Honorable Virtue, Honesty, and Inspirational", adheres to the talent training characteristics of strong medical ethics, clear medical regulations, and strong medical technology, serves the "Healthy China" strategy, and is guided by the needs of the life and health industry. Construct a pattern in which medicine and engineering are the main disciplines, pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine are the core disciplines, food science and engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, etc. are supported disciplines, and other disciplines are developed in coordination. The school's major settings focus on the health industry, docking the industry chain, and set up a professional layout of applied technology with pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine as the main body, food, cosmetics, medical equipment and other majors, including the central financial support major. Two, five key majors under the Ministry of Education’s Higher Vocational Education Innovation and Development Action Plan, and 12 specialties (directions) in Zhejiang Province during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. Pharmacy majors have achieved full coverage of provincial-level advantageous specialties. At present, there are more than 10,000 full-time students enrolled in 19 provinces (autonomous regions) including Zhejiang. By 2020, the school's pharmacy and Chinese pharmacy second-tier student source rate will reach 100%, and the graduate employment rate will always remain above 97%. The supply-demand ratio of graduates to recruitment positions is more than 1:3, and the rate of entering colleges and universities has been ranked among the forefront of the province's higher vocational colleges for consecutive years.
