Lishui Vocational and Technical College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college with a long history and profound heritage. In December 2000, the former Zhejiang Forestry School and Zhejiang Lishui Commercial School merged and upgraded to form. The course of a hundred years of struggle, the roads are blue, and the hands are hardened. The school has always adhered to the fundamental task of establishing morality and fostering people, based on the characteristics of vocational education and the integration of production and education, and rooted in Lishui. It is now a Zhejiang Provincial Higher Vocational High-level School, Zhejiang Demonstrative Higher Vocational College, National Greening Model Unit, Zhejiang Civilized Campus, Zhejiang Civilized Unit, and Zhejiang Digital Campus Demonstration School.
The school occupies an area of 470 acres, with a planned area of 120 acres, a school building area of 225,000 square meters, and a total asset of 562 million yuan. The total area of teaching and training places in the school is 168,300 square meters, and the total value of teaching and training equipment exceeds 76.33 million yuan. There are 380 off-campus bases, including more than 200 compact bases. The library has a collection of more than 700,000 books, and the campus wireless network has been built to cover the entire campus. The school has 7 secondary colleges and 29 majors in forestry technology, architecture and design, mechanical and electrical engineering, accounting, business administration, tourism and trade, ecology and economics. The establishment of 2 central finance-supported construction majors, 1 key construction major of the State Forestry Administration, 4 national backbone majors during the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, 4 provincial-level superior majors, and 4 provincial-level characteristic majors. The professional construction achievements won 3 national teaching achievement awards and 6 provincial teaching achievement awards. There are 1 national high-quality resource sharing course, 7 national teaching resource library courses, 3 provincial-level high-quality online open courses; editor-in-chief of more than 30 national planning textbooks. In 2019, the Sino-German cooperation in running schools and district school cooperation projects were launched, and the Sino-German (Lishui) Vocational Education Base, Sino-German (Lishui) Educational Engineer Training and Certification Center, Sino-German (Lishui) Vocational Education Base, Sino-German (Lishui) Vocational Education Base, Sino-German (Lishui) Educational Engineer Training and Certification Center, Germany (Lishui) cross-enterprise training center has three platforms, innovated the operating model of training bases, and initiated the pilot work of the 1+X certificate system. There are currently 9 training centers in the school, including 3 training bases supported by the central government, and a provincial demonstration 4 training bases. Since 2016, it has cooperated with Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University to hold the undergraduate major of forestry (forestry technology).
The school currently has nearly 8,000 ordinary full-time students and 452 faculty members, including 380 full-time teachers, 25 professors, and 132 associate professors and other associate professors. There are 2 provincial-level teaching teams, 60 high-level talents including provincial-level teaching teachers, provincial-level outstanding teachers, and young and middle-aged professional leaders in provincial universities.
The school adheres to the integration of production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and earnestly implements the "village revitalization strategy", and the fields of scientific research and social services continue to expand. The healthy operation of platforms such as Lishui Farmers College and Lishui Vocational Education Group has boosted the development of local pillar industries. The school has won 2 National Social Science Fund Projects, 1 National Educational Science Planning Ministry of Education Key Project, 1 Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Project, and 58 provincial and ministerial level and above projects. In cooperation with the Japanese Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the "Japanese Rural Research Center" was established to provide theoretical support for Lishui's in-depth promotion of rural revitalization.
The school continues to improve the quality of talent training around the fundamental question of who to train, how to train, and for whom. The average first-time employment rate of school graduates is over 98%. A number of advanced models have emerged, such as the top ten Chinese college students of the year, the tenth outstanding individual of Chinese young volunteers, the self-improvement star of Chinese college students, the national outstanding Communist Youth League members, the national outstanding league cadres, the outstanding individual Chinese youth volunteers, and the national practice Advanced individuals who practice socialist core values.
