The School of Information Engineering of Hangzhou Dianzi University is the first batch of independent colleges organized by Hangzhou Dianzi University in 1999, approved by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004. The college is located by the beautiful Qingshan Lake in Lin'an District, Hangzhou. The first phase of the college covers an area of 500 acres and the second phase covers an area of 200 acres.


Adhering to the fine tradition of Hangzhou Dianzi University of "Unity, Diligence, Practicality and Innovation", the college promotes the spirit of "Unity, self-reliance, truth-seeking, and innovation", and in line with the service tenet of "based on the region, close to the industry, and serving Zhejiang", it has established a "face-to-face" service. The college is oriented to the needs of industries and enterprises, and the discipline layout involves five categories of engineering, economics, management, literature, and art, and the construction and formation of five major categories of mechanical automation, computer, electronic information, economic management, foreign language, and art design Group, construction and development of computer science and technology, software engineering, network engineering, Internet of Things engineering, communication engineering, electronic information engineering, electronic science and technology, automation, electrical engineering and automation, mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, information management, electronics 23 full-time undergraduate majors in business (including college promotion), logistics management, business management, human resources, marketing, accounting (including college promotion), financial management, finance, international economics and trade, industrial design, product design, and English.


The college enrolls students from 15 provinces, cities, and districts. There are more than 8,200 full-time undergraduate students. Students who have completed the credits specified in the teaching plan within the school’s prescribed length of study will be awarded Hangzhou if they meet the graduation requirements in moral, intellectual, and physical. Graduate certificate from the School of Information Engineering of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, which meets the requirements for conferring a bachelor's degree, will be awarded a bachelor's degree certificate from the School of Information Engineering, Hangzhou Dianzi University.


The college follows the principle of "structural optimization, key construction, and continuous advancement", focusing on the construction of first-class and key disciplines in the province of electronic science and technology, mechanical engineering, circuits and systems; focusing on the construction of mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation majors, software engineering majors, and business administration Majors, computer science and technology majors, 4 new characteristic majors in the province; to cultivate key academic-level majors such as electronic information engineering, electrical engineering and automation, accounting, finance, and e-commerce. In recent years, he has won 1 Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, more than 50 provincial education and teaching reform projects, nearly 20 provincial classroom teaching reform projects, and 2 industry-academic cooperation collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education: JavaEE Web Application Practice Base , Net-China Net-Industry-University Cooperation Accounting Practice Base.


  The college insists on "student-oriented" and strengthens the cultivation of students' innovative application ability. In the past 5 years, the college has won a total of 623 awards in discipline competitions at the provincial level and above, covering more than 40 projects and categories such as electronic design, multimedia, service outsourcing, case analysis, and accounting informatization. The number of students participating in the discipline competition reached 8,300, and a total of awards were awarded. The number of people reached 2164.   The college actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation, expands students’ international horizons, and has established friendly relations with more than 30 universities in more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Focus on the development of the 3+2 undergraduate and master degree program at Lincoln University in New Zealand, the Passages study tour program in the United States, the research program for young teachers and students of Chinese and foreign service in the United States, the Russian National University of Higher Economic Research Exchange Program, the United States Western Oregon University Exchange Program, and the British BPP Six selected projects including the university "ACCA" exchange program.


   The college continuously strengthens teacher training and ability improvement, and strengthens the introduction and recruitment of high-level teachers. The scientific research level and social service ability of college teachers have been continuously improved.
