Huzhou College is an independent undergraduate-level public general higher education school. The predecessor of the school is the Qiuzhen College of Huzhou Normal University. It was a full-time general undergraduate independent college approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government in August 1999. In January 2021, the Ministry of Education issued the Letter from Huzhou College (Jiaofahan [2021] No. 15), agreeing that the Qiuzhen College of Huzhou Normal University should be transformed into a public general undergraduate university, and the school will be called Huzhou College after the transfer.
The school is located in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, a national historical and cultural city known as "the home of silk, the land of fish and rice, and the country of culture", which has a profound cultural heritage.
