Oujiang College of Wenzhou University was established in January 2000. It was founded by the former Wenzhou Teachers College and was established with the approval of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province; it was approved as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in 2004; it was approved as an independent college in July 2018.
