Qianjiang College of Hangzhou Normal University was established in August 1999. It is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate independent college sponsored by Hangzhou Normal University approved by the Ministry of Education and Zhejiang Provincial People's Government.


   College is located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province. Hangzhou is the political, economic, cultural, educational, transportation and financial center of Zhejiang Province, one of the central cities of the Yangtze River Delta city cluster, the node city of the Ninghang Ecological Economic Zone in the Yangtze River Delta, and one of China's important e-commerce centers. Hangzhou is also one of the seven ancient capitals of China, and has been known as "paradise on earth" since ancient times. The campus is located in Xiasha Higher Education Park, Jianggan District, Hangzhou, adjacent to the Qiantang River. The campus covers an area of 906.46 acres, with a school building area of more than 180,000 square meters. The library has a building area of 35,000 square meters and a total collection of more than 900,000 books. At present, the college has 35 undergraduate majors including broadcasting and hosting art, accounting, e-commerce, tourism management, English, Chinese literature, nursing, applied chemistry, mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation, including science, engineering, medicine, 9 disciplines including economics, management, law, literature, education, and art. The college enrolls students from all over the country. At the same time, nearly 200 teachers are shared with Hangzhou Normal University.
