Xingzhi College of Zhejiang Normal University is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate independent college approved by the provincial government in August 1999 and confirmed by the Ministry of Education in November 2004. In 2010, it was awarded the title of "National Advanced Independent College", and in 2013, it was rated as one of the top 50 universities in the country for campus environmental satisfaction. From 2014-2017, it ranked among the top seven in the national high-level independent college rankings for four consecutive years. From 2013 to 2017, the alma mater of college graduates ranked first in the province's independent colleges for five consecutive years.


  The college now has a campus of Normal University and Lanxi campus. The Normal University campus is located in the west area of Zhejiang Normal University, in the national historical and cultural city of Jinhua, in the middle of Zhejiang, with Shanghai-Hangzhou to the north, Fujian and Guangdong in the south, and convenient transportation. The campus has a quiet environment, shaded by green trees and beautiful grasses. It complements and complements each other with the national scenic spot of Ssangyong Cave. It is an ideal place for knowledge and talents. The Lanxi campus is 20 kilometers away from the Normal University campus and covers an area of 800 acres. The college currently has 6 branches of business, law, literature, design and art, science, and engineering, and a public basic department, involving 9 disciplines such as economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management, and art. 42 majors, more than 8,000 students. The three disciplines of Industrial Economics, Chemistry and Biology are jointly trained with Zhejiang Normal University for master's degree students. The college has two Zhejiang first-class disciplines, cyberspace security and ecology. Applied chemistry is a provincial-level key construction major, with provincial-level specialty majors such as tourism management, business management, machinery design and manufacturing and its automation, and computer science and technology.


  The college has built a team of teachers with both ability and political integrity, distinctive features, and reasonable structure. There are more than 460 full-time and part-time teachers, 42.2% of senior titles, and more than 110 PhD teachers. Among them are internationally renowned cryptography experts, enjoying special allowances from the State Council, the national "New Century Talent Project", the provincial "151 Talent Project" and other outstanding talents.    Relying on the advantages of the parent body and the regional advantages, the college adheres to the school-running philosophy of "seeking knowledge by doing, and applying knowledge for application", and strives to build a highly adaptable, flexible, and open talent training system that integrates knowledge, ability, and accomplishment. There are more than 500 teaching research and construction projects at all levels and various types, of which 30 projects have been approved at the provincial level.   The college is committed to cultivating high-quality undergraduate applied talents with solid foundation, deep literacy, fine skills, strong abilities, and good innovation. Integrating the advantages of disciplines, relying on advantageous majors such as international economics and trade, law, Chinese language and literature, English, tourism management, and business management, has now opened 57 interdisciplinary professional compound training classes.
