The Maritime Police College of Public Security is an institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Public Security.
The school is located in Beilun District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of more than 500 acres. There are currently more than 2,200 students and more than 260 full-time teachers, of which more than 60 have associate titles.
The school was established in 1983 with the approval of the State Council. It now has five departments, namely, the Basic Department, the Ship Command Department, the Mechanical and Electrical Management Department, the Electronic Technology Department, the Logistics Department, and the Advanced Education Department. Majors in communications technology, confidentiality, and logistics management are responsible for cultivating talents in ship command, electromechanical management, communications technology command, and logistics management for the national border defense forces.
