Dali Vocational and Technical College of Agriculture and Forestry is located in the famous national historical and cultural city---Dali Ancient City. National Geological Park, China's Top Ten Tourism and Leisure Cities, China's Best Leisure Tourism Destination, "Ancient Capital of Asian Cultural Crossroads" and other laurels, with a splendid history and culture, and a strong cultural atmosphere. The college is close to the Cangshan Mountain in the west, the blue-wave Erhai Lake in the east, and the three towers of Chongsheng Temple in the north. The climate is pleasant and the environment is beautiful. It is an ideal place for teaching, educating, working, studying and living.
It was established with the approval of the provincial government in 2013, and the Ministry of Education filed and approved enrollment. The college covers an area of 213.68 acres, with brand-new infrastructure and experimental training facilities, and newly built experimental complexes, training buildings, teaching buildings, stadiums, student dining halls, library buildings, comprehensive halls, etc. It has sufficient experimental training conditions, with 33 laboratories and 17 training rooms including physicochemical, soil fertilizer, plants, animal husbandry, planting, gardening, agricultural machinery, etc.; there are animal training fields, modern greenhouses, Yunnan Huangshi Laisir Dairy Industry Co., Ltd. and Crop Cultivation Practice Base 4 on-campus teaching and production practice bases; with Dali Brewery, Yunlong Big Chestnut Tea Factory, Nanjian Heilongtan Tea Factory and Ouya Dairy Co., Ltd. and other 20 well-known and strong in the province The enterprise reached a practical teaching base agreement to provide good conditions for practical teaching and student internship employment.
The college currently has 39 associate professors or above, and 24 lecturers, including 37 postgraduates, who have rich agricultural and forestry vocational education and teaching experience.
