Yunnan Vocational College of Commerce was approved by the People's Government of Yunnan Province in 2010 and filed with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is a full-time private general higher education institution with independent qualifications for issuing nationally recognized diplomas. The college is located in the hometown of Lanmao, known as the "Diandong Ancient Town" and "Land of Fish and Rice" in the "Dianzhong New District of Yunnan Province". The area has a long history, beautiful mountains and rivers, fertile soil and plain folk customs. The new campus covers an area of 340.69 mu, with a total construction area of 260,000 square meters and a total investment of 930 million. There are administrative office buildings, teaching buildings, university student activity centers, student halls, libraries and other facilities, and 45 on-campus teaching and training rooms ( Site and facilities), among which, according to hospital standards, a medical training building with an area of 16,000 square meters has been built, which includes a human science museum, a physical examination center, an inspection center, Chinese and Western pharmacies, nurse stations, ICU intensive care units, CT, nuclear magnetic resonance, Comprehensive training centers such as B-ultrasound, operating room, modern integrated delivery room, nursing, rehabilitation, indoor and outdoor rescue, anatomy and biochemical experiments, have established more than 90 practical training and teaching employment bases in various cities in Yunnan Province. At present, the construction projects of the International Academic Exchange Center building, aviation training base, and high-speed rail training base have been initially completed. The next step will be the construction of the second phase of the 11th and 12th student apartments and the completion of the auto repair and construction engineering training base. The construction of campus informatization, the school history museum, and the construction of the party history learning and education base are also actively planning and coordinating. The college relies on the high-quality teaching resources of Haiyuan College of Kunming Medical University (undergraduate) under the affiliated Haiyuan Education Group, which has strongly enhanced the education and teaching strength of our school.
There are currently 824 faculty members, including 10 professors, 8 associate professors, 4 doctors and 23 postgraduates. There are currently more than 15,000 enrolled students. After the completion of the construction of the second-phase project student apartment building, the college can accommodate 22,000 students. At present, there are the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Economics and Management, School of Engineering and Information, School of Transportation and Tourism, and School of Continuing Education. There are 29 secondary and higher vocational majors including nursing, medical imaging technology, medical inspection technology, construction project management, e-commerce, and flight attendant. The college’s party-mass and administrative, logistics, and teaching auxiliary functional departments are sound and complete, with clear division of labor, clear responsibilities, unity and cooperation between departments, and all work in an orderly manner.
